Paper, your way

An endless canvas, or real pages: Letter and A4 to A7, portrait or landscape. Blank, ruled or grid on six paper colours. Save the combination you like and the picker opens on it.

Pen, highlighter, eraser

Pressure-free ink that feels right on a phone. Hold still mid-stroke and the line snaps straight. Magic or brush eraser. Colours you pick stay one tap away, favourites and all.

Text that thinks in Markdown

Type # for a heading, - for a list, [] for a checkbox, > for a quote, ``` for code. Bold, italic, size, colour, alignment, font and rotation — right in the ribbon.

Handwriting to text

Write with the pen and it turns into a text box the moment you pause — on device, with Google ML Kit. English ships ready; Chinese, Malay and Tamil download when you pick them.

Diagrams, not doodles

Eighty-odd shapes across Standard, Flowchart, Containers and UML (class, use case, state, sequence). Connectors snap to ports, route straight, elbowed or curved, and carry arrowheads and labels.

PDFs become pages

Import a PDF and every page becomes a page you can write on. Reorder, duplicate, delete or insert pages in the browser. Export the note back out as a PDF or PNGs, share it, or save it to Files.

Images on the page

Drop a photo from your library onto the canvas, crop it, rotate it, move it. It exports with the page and, on Pro, syncs with the note.

Folders with covers

A Finder-style browser with nested folders and a breadcrumb. Give a folder a cover image. New notes land in General until you move them.

Offline first, private by default

Notes are written to your device the moment you stop typing. No analytics, no ads. Sync is a Pro option that goes to your own Google Drive, never to our servers.

Canvas

Ink, text and images on one page.

Pick a tool from the floating tray and draw. Tap with the text tool and a Markdown-aware box opens where you tapped. Pinch to zoom, two fingers to pan, and the page stays under your hand.

Handwriting recognition

Write it by hand. Keep it as text.

Turn on Ink to text and each pause converts what you just wrote into an editable text box. Recognition runs on the device; the language model is downloaded once from Google and stays.

Shapes & connectors

Flowcharts and UML without leaving the note.

A collapsible shape drawer on the left edge. Tap a glyph to place it, or drag it exactly where you want it. Select a shape and pull a connector from any port — it follows the shape when you move or rotate it.

Your notes, in your Drive.

Connect Google Drive and Nota keeps a Nota Notes folder in step with the app: every note, folder, image and PDF page. Sync runs on its own every few minutes; Sync now on a note pushes just that one. Notes never pass through our servers.

Pro · Signatures

Sign a page the way you'd sign paper.

Draw your signature on a white pad or type it in one of three script faces. Choose the ink, the rule beneath it and a name and title under that. Place it, size it, rotate it. Keep up to three in your library and drag one straight onto a page.

Is Nota : Quick Notes free?
Yes. The whole editor — ink, text, shapes, PDF import and export, handwriting recognition, folders — is free with no time limit. Pro is a subscription that adds Google Drive sync and signatures. The price is shown above and in the app before you pay.
Where are my notes stored?
On your device, in the app’s private storage. If you subscribe to Pro and connect Google Drive, a copy of each note also lives in a Nota Notes folder in your own Drive. Your notes are never stored on our servers.
Do I need an account?
Yes — sign in with Google, Apple, or an email and password (you’ll verify the address first). The account is what keeps your Pro status and signature library attached to you; notes themselves stay local unless you connect Drive.
Does handwriting recognition send my writing anywhere?
No. Recognition runs on the device with Google ML Kit. The language model (about 20 MB) is downloaded once from Google and kept on the phone; your strokes never leave it.
What platforms does it support?
Android 8.1 and up, iOS and iPadOS 15.5 and up. macOS, Windows and Linux are coming.
How do I cancel Pro?
Profile → Billing & Subscription → Manage. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for, then the Drive sync and signature gates lock again. Notes and anything already placed on a page — signatures included — stay exactly as they are.
What happens when I delete my account?
Everything goes, immediately: the Nota Notes folder in your Drive (if connected), your subscription and billing customer, your account and signatures on our servers, your sign-in identity, and every note on the device. It cannot be undone.
